Message from the Chair October 2016

I have never been prouder to be a Democrat than I am in this election cycle. Momentum for Democratic candidates continues to build every day. I am proud of the local Democrats who made the office possible. I am proud of the volunteers who are knocking on thousands of doors, processing thousands of letters and making hundreds of phone calls each week. I am proud of the campaign staffers who are on the job working long hours, 7 days a week and infusing the office with their unlimited energy and positive attitudes. I am proud of our excellent Democratic candidates.  All together, we are generating a lot of excitement and raising awareness for the Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.

If you have not had a chance to be part of the action, you can still jump in and help us make history as we elect the first woman President of the United States, take back the senate by electing Tammy Duckworth, put a check on the Governor by electing Susana Mendoza as the Comptroller, re-electing our three Democratic Congressmen, sending Peter Roskam home for good by electing Amanda Howland, electing our own Democratic State Representative Greg Hose, re-electing Liz Chaplin to the County Board, and adding to the number of Democrats elected to the County Board and county-wide offices.

Democratic turnout is critical in this election. Your help is needed to make this happen up and down the ballot. Share your newsletter, use social media, and most importantly pitch in to the best of your ability to foster success at the polls in November. We are entering the last stretch of the election cycle. We need you now more than ever!
