Message from the Chair

We ended 2018 on a high note! For Downers Grove Township Democrats, that means we are starting the new year with two County Board members, a County Clerk, a Forest Preserve District President, a Circuit Court Judge, a State Senator, two State Representatives, 5 Illinois Constitutional Officers, and 4 U.S. Congressmen! This could not have happened without the participation of all of the dedicated Democrats who volunteered for the various campaigns! Thank you again!
Now that we have increased our representation at the county, state and federal levels of government, we need to make sure that our elected officials are successful. We need to support them in their new roles by attending their official events and meetings, by providing meaningful feedback, and by promoting their accomplishments whenever and where ever we can. It is essential that we help them develop a positive agenda and a positive image among voters. We need to be working hard starting now, toward their re-election, and the election of additional county and state representatives in 2020. We can do it! However, it will take work and we need to present our party and our elected representatives professionally in all forms of media.
We will be starting off 2019 with a fresh new office space! Our new home at 908 Curtiss Street is in the same building, immediately adjacent to our office. We hope that everyone will take the opportunity to stop in and enjoy our Democratic home. Stay tuned to learn about upcoming actions and events.
